Redacted Self-Promotion.
When the FBI first released an affidavit to support their search for classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago by a certain ex-President it was heavily redacted. People were very curious to discover what vital information might be contained beneath the heavy black strike-outs. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to reveal some information that I was keeping to myself. I had recently become available for freelance advertising work. With that in mind I posted my own redacted document on Linkedin revealing the news. Keen as I was to be true to the concept, my contact info was heavily redacted. That may have been a mistake. Although the post was widely praised, liked and shared, I received precisely zero offers of work as a result. Lesson learned.
